What is Bangla Awas Yojana ?
The government aims to ensure that every person in the state has a permanent roof over their head. From now on, people across Bengal will be able to sleep peacefully in safe and secure housing. To fulfill this goal, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, has introduced the Bangla Awas Yojana. Since coming to power, she has launched many schemes and initiatives. The Bangla Awas Yojana has been introduced especially for the poor people of the state.
Those who have not received a pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can apply for this scheme. Even after so many years of independence, many residents of West Bengal are still deprived of proper housing. This scheme aims to solve that problem.
